Back to Blogging

Hello folks it has been a while since I blogged from my Blackberry. Well two things have kept me busy, a nasty divorce and a fried Blackberry. The divorce I can't control, but the fried BlackBerry was all my doing. I got to adventurous and downloaded an unofficial OS. First and last time I will ever do this. When they say it may damage your device they aren't kidding. Well my ATT BlackBerry Bold got fried. It was cheaper for me to switch carriers to get a new BlackBerry.
Besides Verizon has a better network then ATT and my parents and girlfriend are on Verizon. All the more reason to switch...lol. So now I will be blogging on my new BlackBerry Storm. Its close to Thanksgiving so I'm going to make this short. Happy Thanksgiving everyone !

Becoming an Uncle

Becoming an Uncle.

Sorry for not blogging here in a while. It has been a wild week. Well during this time my brother and his wife have had there first child. It's a baby boy! And I get to be an Uncle for the first time.
You know being an Uncle and witnessing the birth of your nephew was a cool experience for me. Childbirth in its self is not, because I am a farther of two myself. But watching this miracle event from the perspective of an Uncle and not the nervous Dad. Really made this event what it is, and amazing event of life and just how awesome God is.
Now I can totally relate to how my brother was feeling and the full range of emotions he was going through. But for some reason I was able to appreciate the process a whole lot more, because well I wasn't going through again what my brother was going through. It's to bad when were Dads we are so worried about the bad things that can happen that we miss out on the little moments in the process that are truly amazing. Heck when my children were born I was happy they got out all right and were healthy, and then I can began to worry about what could happen next and I missed out on a whole bunch of things with my youngins. My brother no doubt went through the same thing, just as many fathers do.
Which brings me back to the Uncle thing. It was awesome to watch and enjoy the birthing process without all the nervousness that I had as a Dad. It was cool watching my nephew get cleaned up, shots, weighed and measured like a trophy bass..lol. I tried to get as many pictures for my brother as I could, because well I knew he was going through those emotions like I was and at least he can have the pictures to look back on. I'm glad I got to watch this process as an Uncle, because when my nephew gets older I'll get to tell him I was there when you came in the nurses station sportin that football shaped head. God is awesome and its going to be fun to be an Uncle. I now get to watch my brother and his wife go through this stage in life, and help spoil their child along with my parents. And laugh at him because he has no idea how much life is going to change, now that he is a father.

What 5 minutes can do.

It is amazing what 5 minutes can do to your morning routine. I mean we are talking a mere 300 seconds here. Usually I try to allow some extra time in my morning schedule for unexpected delays. By doing this it pretty much keeps me right on track.
Not so much the case this morning. Yeah it was my fault, I hit the snooze button. ONE TIME. However that one snooze ate up my allotted extra time in my morning routine. Mind you I was up and running on time this morning. On schedule, a tight one at that with no wiggle room for error.
That's when I found out what a difference those 300 seconds can really make. Not quite sure where the extra time came in. Kids not moving as fast, my in ability to focus on the task at hand. One thing for sure, an extra 5 minutes tacked in there and my morning was a mess. Darn you snooze button for your convenience in getting a few extra minutes of sleep.

Good morning. Okay trying out this blogging thing only using my blackberry. I'm curious to see how this handles long blogs because I can only update the blog using sms texts. Interesting since sms texts have a limit and will break up the message to send it over the air. As of right now I have enough text for three text messages. It will be interesting to see how the mobile program puts this all together.
Well it is a Monday and this will be a not so normal week considering I have to work a ball game Thursday night. Its an ESPN game so it will be a long day and night. Start things off with a meeting this morning, and then on to working cases.
Okay well I'm up to five text messages with this blog. Seems the blackberry has a limit so I have almost reached the limit. It seems I have 152 characters per text message, and a limit of six messages at a time. So I have a 912 character limit for this blog.
